MBAS (Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society) is a non-profit blues club based in Melbourne, whose mission is to bring together blues enthusiasts and blues artists, and also encourage budding musicians.  We offer a range of activities such as blues jam nights, fund-raising gigs & events, music awards, blues contests, and a Youth In Blues Project. 

MBAS Recognises & Assists Blues Talent...

Blues Jam Nights are hosted weekly by MBAS, offering local up & coming as well as established blues artists the chance to gain recognition by playing in front of an audience, whilst also offering musicians the chance to network.

MBAS Blues Performer of The Year sends the best possible representatives to participate in the IBC (International Blues Challenge) held in Memphis U.S.A.

MBAS Victorian/Tasmanian Blues Music Awards
are held each year for blues artists who have a commercial CD released between 30th June the previous year and the 1st July in the present year. ENTRIES NOW OPEN

MBAS Youth In Blues Project is for youth 25 years and under, who are already playing blues or who are interested in receiving help in furthering their music career.
