House of Blues - Jam Night
Tuesday 5th December 2023
Feature act: MISS LOU'S BLUES
MISS LOU’S BLUES pairs the talents of Louise Christiansson and Bruce McKail, who in a short time together as a duo, have made an noted impact on the Melbourne Blues scene. Miss Lou's sassy and bawdy juke-joint vocals are complimented by Bruce's spicy rhythm guitar, creating a charismatic and flamboyant repertoire of songs extending beyond the blues to incorporate elements of jazz, country, and a litty-bitty gospel.
Appearing around Melbourne venues with increasing popularity, Miss Lou’s Blues have just performed at Queenscliff Music Festival and recently enjoyed feature spots with Blues Roulette, Stingo's Blues Club, Hume Blues Club, and are a now returning acts at iconic venues such as The Blues Train and Beneath Driver Lane. Interviews on Blues radio with Barry Maxwell's 'Blues On The Hill’, Matt Frederick's 'The Juke Joint' and Helen Jennings ‘Roots of Rhythm’ on PBS FM, is spreading the word. Miss Lou’s Blues are releasing their debut album with their first appearance at MBAS – don’t miss it!
