BLUES JAM NIGHT

Feature act: EDDY BOYLE BAND

EDDY BOYLE BAND will see EDDY BOYLE and his hard-driving harmonica return to the MBAS with a crew to guarantee a night of swinging Blues rhythms. Eddy will be joined by DAVE BIRTWELL on guitar, PETER BEULKE on bass and JASON LIU SOON on drums, performing a set of original blues tunes and blues classics. Eddy’s heartfelt harmonica riffs are always delivered with joy and love of the blues – and he has come a long way since participating in the MBAS Youth in Blues Program in 2008. Now celebrating 20 years of performing the blues, Eddy would say a defining time for him was being taught and mentored by the legendary Chris Wilson, and on occasion by harp maestro Jim Conway. Over the years Eddy has performed in various band lineups and played with the likes of Joe Camilleri, Jimi Hocking and Geoff Achison to name a few. A huge musical highlight for Eddy was accompanying Eric Bibb onstage at the Port Fairy Folk Festival.
