Feature act: THE BLUE JAYS

THE BLUE JAYS are an acoustic four-piece who play a mixture of classic Blues, and Blues fused with wider Blues-influenced genres, performing both original songs and cover interpretations with a twist. All the members have a musical pedigree born of many years performing in bars, clubs and festivals and across a wide range of musical styles and genres.

Featuring ANNIE McGLADE on vocals and rhythm guitar – an award winning singer/songwriter who has been performing as a soloist and in bands for over 30 years in a wide range of genres from Roots to R&B.  She has sung Jazz in New Orleans, and more widely, traditional Blues, Country, Calypso and Folk. JULIE NOBLE on Blues harp is best known for her work as the harmonica player for The Miss Whiskey Duo. Julie’s biggest influences are Slim Harpo, Junior Wells, Jimmy Reed and Little Walter. DAVE RACKHAM on bass and dobro has over 30 years experience playing a variety of instruments and styles, and the rhythm section is rounded out by NAT DePALMA, ex eighties rock drummer with Hush and Scandal and now flexing his talent in Blues rhythms.
