BLUE SUNDAY BLUES BAND is fronted by multi award winning Blues artist Marco Goldsmith. Hailing from Port Fairy, Marco built up his reputation playing in various bands and as a solo artist throughout the western district of Victoria. Moving to Warrnambool, he formed the highly regarded award winning band Blue Heat. After multiple albums and being a strong festival favourite, Marco eventually supported the Legendary B.B. King.

Marco soon put out a solo album and moved to Geelong, forming the Marco Goldsmith Band. That album won a VicTas Blues Award that year and the band supported Status Quo for their Australian tour. With all the good times unfortunately things sometimes can go dark. Marco was diagnosed with cancer and vocal cord nodules, so for a period was out of action due to radiation therapy and operations.

At the time, Ron Hilla (bass, ex Turning Blue and Matt Corcoran Band) was putting together Blue Sunday. He approached Marco to play guitar, and join other band members – fine vocalist and guitarist Craig Creswell (ex Blue Jam) and drummer Sandy Oro (ex Chantoozies, Giants and Matt Corcoran Band). Good news was that after his long illness, Marco's voice had recovered, giving the band another fine vocal.

Blue Sunday Blues Band play a mixture of originals, Aussie blues, American and English blues rock.
