COLD SNAP are a powerhouse six-piece delivering a high-voltage fusion of blues, funk, soul, and R&B that hits hard and leaves a lasting impression. Fronted by the dynamic husband-and-wife team JOE and SONIA VALENTI, the band brings something truly special to the stage – an electrifying musical connection built on real chemistry, deep passion, and years of shared experience. 

Since forming in 2007, Cold Snap have built a formidable presence across some of Australia’s most respected festivals and major events, including Wangaratta Jazz & Blues Festival, St Kilda Blues Festival, Echuca Winter Blues Festival, Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival, Alice Springs Blues Festival, MotoGP at Phillip Island, and on The Blues Train. Appearing as Finalists in the 2025 MBAS Blues Challenge, further cemented their reputation as one of the scene’s most compelling live acts. Driven by Joe Valenti’s gritty, expressive guitar work and Sonia Valenti’s soul-drenched vocals, their on-stage connection is undeniable – playful, powerful, and completely authentic – drawing audiences in and holding them there from the first note to the last. The band delivers a sound that is both deeply rooted in tradition and unmistakably modern. A tight, groove-heavy lineup features ROB D’ALESSANDRO (keys), KOSTA VAPORAKIS (guitar), STEVE BROOKS (bass), and BUD NOORDHOORN (drums), together creating a rich, dynamic foundation that allows every performance to breathe, build and explode with energy.
