THE HEAVY KICKS are a Melbourne-based power trio pushing the boundaries of psychedelic blues and rock – raw, electric, and unapologetically blues and groove-driven. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist SHAUN KLINGER, with CHRIS ROURKE on bass and MARK DEGIORGIO on drums, the band delivers a sound that is equal parts soulful, gritty, and explosive.

The Heavy Kicks are known for high-energy performances that blur the lines between structured songwriting and free-flowing improvisation. Their sets weave together fiery original compositions with reimagined classics, showcasing a unique ability to channel the roots of the blues while fearlessly exploring progressive, psychedelic, and alternative soundscapes.

Klinger’s reputation as a tone-shaping guitarist and gear builder underpins the band’s sonic identity, while Rourke and Degiorgio lock in with thunderous precision, creating a rhythm section that’s both heavy and dynamic.
