House of Blues - Jam Night

LAUREL AND THE PAINKILLERS deliver a mix of covers & original music deeply rooted in blues with branches of rock, pop and groove. English born Melbourne based singer- songwriter, guitarist Laurel is supported by a killer rhythm section – Dr T (Taleb) a highly sought after session drummer, talented bassist Jason Nehill who has years of experience playing festivals with some of Australia’s top artists. They are joined by skilled classically trained keyboard player Daryl Johnson with backup vocals sung by Alicia O’Brien from the sassy vocal trio called Treblettes. Debut album “Songs From Isobel” received radio airplay (“best album of the year” Kevin from 103. 7FM) and was in the 25 most-played new & reissued CD's from Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Chart (July 2018). Two of the songs were short-listed to the TOP 30 of the Australian Songwriters Association Inc Competition. The band recently released an EP of 5 original songs, which they will be playing at MBAS on Tuesday 23rd August.
