TIM IRELAND bought a ticket to see Buddy Guy at the Palace in St Kilda in the early nineties. At the feet of one of the greats, Tim had his musical world turned upside down as Buddy baptised him in the story of the Blues. Since then, Tim’s musical journey has been all about the emotion, feel and tone of the Blues. 

Tim's last appearance at the MBAS was with his trio Blue Times Blue, and since then he has honed his performance as an accomplished soloist. With a voice ranging from the soulful to a roar, his Piedmont picking style and Delta tunings feature in Tim’s guitar work, and he has performed consistently over the years in acoustic and electric settings at venues and festivals all over Australia.
