JOHN WILLIAMS heads up DOUBLESHOT OF BLUES – with a 2015 Vic/Tas Blues award for debut album “12 Bars of Live Blues” and new one coming, DoubleShot is one of the hottest live bands in Australasia – wowing crowds both here and in New Zealand.

An inovative master of electric Blues guitar and slide, John Williams has become a leading torch bearer of British Blues guitar. With early roots in Blues, and personal tuition from Jimmy Page, John toured with Page early in his career, and spent many hours learning from the master. That influence is evident in John’s trademark guitar style today – even filling in with the Yardbirds when Page took ill.

Doubleshot of Blues is a band of world class musicians – featuring powerhouse rhythm section Michael Emmerling on bass and Glenn Roche on drums. Led by John Willliams, the trio play jaw-dropping Blues with rocking riffs and driving boogies played with passion.
