ROD PAINE & THE FULLTIME LOVERS are a dirty, post-war electric blues combo inspired by the likes of Lazy Lester, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jimmy Reed, Slim Harpo, Ike Turner and Little Walter. The Fulltime Lovers keep it simple – dirty undertones, swinging rhythms and rumbling shuffles are served up to their audiences everywhere.

Fronted by Rod Paine, one of the most powerful, soulful voices in the roots scene, and a founding member of Melbourne’s legendary Chicago blues acts, Howlin’ Time back in 1989. Rod went on to form the re-knowned 50s inspired retro blues outfit, The Redliners who rocked around the country for almost 10 years. In 2005 The Redliners had a baby, barely skipping a beat, and became Rod Paine & The Fulltime Loves.

Rod Paine & The Fulltime Lovers won the coveted award of Australian Blues Performer of the Year in 2013, representing Melbourne and the MBAS at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis USA.
